Katie Yancey generates video, sound and installation work through a multi-disciplinary practice that explores the materiality of the poetic voice.

Born in 1985 in Peoria, Illinois, she currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon. She received an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BFA 2009). 

'SNAX' is a Small Nomadic Artistic Experience — an ongoing series of events organized by Yaku to share the creative potential of the Organization and the life that will live within repurposed the Hale Memorial Church.
